Jalsa --- The Musical

Jalsa stars Pavan Kalyan and Illeana under Trivikram and music is by the young talented Devisri Prasad (DSP). The combination is enough to raise expectations among us. It’s a comeback film for DSP as he was out of the fray for a long time….it was the Manisharma’s and chakri’s doing all the films recently….And the stage is set for his comeback…..As JALSA the title says it all…it should be a hip-hop techno and a rocking musical…..and DSP revels in them as seen from his previous releases….and the evergreen Sirivennela is always with him….So lets see how the music fares……

Jalsa - Baba Sehgal, Rita - Sirivennala ●●●●

Its Baba sehgal all the way…..his voice is different and refreshing for the public and that’s the masterstroke…..already it’s a big hit thanks to the pre internet release all over… typical DSP beats…highly hummable….its a chartbuster all the way…..and sirivennala’s lyrics need a mention here….
“he is a human tsunami….” J

My Heart is beating - KK – Sirivennala ●●●●1/2

A very addictive song beautifully sung by KK......especially at the end the way he extends “My heart is beating” gives a kick…. I was surprised Sirivennela giving lyrics to this album initially which is supposed to be hip hop and western…..but his versatility shows in every song….A sample here

"tea spoon kannu baruvu avutunde
full moon nannu udikistunde "

"cell phone nee kaburu testunte...
stein gun moginattu untunde"

"crompton fan gaali veestunte….
cyclone taaki nattu untunnnnnnnde"

Hahahahaaa very catchy and funny….its Jalsa all over this song

You and I - DSP – Sirivennala ●●●●

Typical Devisri song sung by himself….Again a catchy number….In short a Jalsa number again…..

“You and I lets go high and lets do Balle Balle “
“Life is like Saturday night lets do Balle Balle “

Chalore Chalore Chal - Ranjith – Sirivennala ●●●●

The song starts with an amazing tune and you hear the drums along with the tune throughout the song….Ranjith a regular in telugu films is good. It will be very interesting to see at which point in the film this song comes….bcoz going by the lyrics it sounds as a rebel song or naxal song……But whatever may be as far as the song goes its an another winner from DSP………

Jennifer Lopez - Benny,Priya - Rama Jogaiah sastry ●●●●1/2

The song starts normally but as it progresses and by the time it ends it becomes an extremely foot tapping and head swinging number.
The use of instruments throughout especially at the “pallavi” at the end is worth hearing many times……

Gallo Telinattunde - Tippu,Gopika Purnima---Bhaskarabatla ●●●●1/2

Next on the CD is this magnificently composed song….lyrics, rendition everything exemplary…….DSP proves again why he is so good at key board…..he just plays with it….Tippu gives another terrific performance after his chirutha chartbuster (“Yamaho Yama”)

Chalore Chalore Chal(Hin) - DSP - Raquib Alam ●●●●

This is a hindi version of the song sung by DSP and Raquib Alam who worked with ARR in few songs penned it. This version is better than the telugu one in terms of lyrics…….

The remixes at the end of album are again typical DSP remixes which we are used to…….

So here it is,

The music justifies the title JALSA…… It’s a Jalsa album all the way……. Although some may feel this album is repetitive esp the songs which DSP sung but at the end they are catchy and foot-tapping and a Jalsa for our senses…… DSP stages a terrific comeback and the album is already selling like hot cakes all over…….

So guys have Jalsa in life, go grab a Jalsa CD from stores….
The album simply rocks…….

Surprised with the colors used above…
Hope your life is filled with full of Jalsa and colors like above

Have a nice time…….
